In the process of phosphating metal surfaces, which at least partly consist of iron or steel, in accordance with the low-zinc technology, the metal surfaces are brought into contact with aqueous acid phosphating solutions at a given temperature and time period. This adds a plating film to protect and aid adhesion.
An application process to non-ferrous metals to improve the adhesion of subsequent coats of paint. Possesses short term corrosion inhibiting properties to ferrous metals. A 2 pack pre-treatment or etching primer is used for stoving on to steel, aluminium, stainless and galvanised substrates.
Zinc-rich priming provides outstanding corrosion resistance, especially in harsh aggressive environments. It leaves a perfect finish ready for any colour to be overcoated when aesthetics are needed with long term anti-corrosion.
